Project No.: 01.2.2-MITA-K-702-11-047
The project goal is the development of the prototype of a 2 μm optical data transmission system and its integration into the unmanned aerial vehicle. The main advantage of this system over existing radio solutions is the exceptional communication security and the possibility to increase the data transmission rate more than 10 times compared to radio communication systems. The 2 μm wavelength range is eye-safe, ensures lower atmospheric scattering, and the 2 μm radiation is difficult-to-detect . During the project, the development of the final product – the UAV communication terminal and demonstration to the users in operational environment is planned.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments under measure No. 01.2.2-MITA-K-702 “Promoting the Commercialisation and Internationalisation of R&D”.
